Buoyancy control, why it is not it as easy as it looks?
At first glance, buoyancy control looks pretty effortless. It seems to be a simple matter of balancing the amount of weight you carry against the inflation of your BC. Surely when the two cancel each other out, you're neutral and can hover in the water. Since the weight you are carrying doesn't change after you enter the water, it seems as though you have only one variable to contend with, that being the amount of inflation of your BC. Buoyancy must be easy to control then eh? SO WHY ISN’T IT?
